God placed a vision in the heart of Pastor LaReese M. Brooks revealing to her that she would organize and pastor a church. After much prayer and meditation, Pastor Brooks accepted her call as a pastor when the Lord spoke to her heart through His Word in John, Chapter 21, verses 15-17. The risen Lord asked Peter three times if he loved Him. After Peter's response, the Lord said, "Feed My lambs...Tend My sheep...and Feed My sheep". The Lord spoke to Pastor Brooks' heart again and revealed that there was an urgent call to begin the church. There were people who had been abused, torn down, misused and they were lost and didn't know what to do. There were people who were captives to sin, captives to themselves and were living defeated lives. In addition, there were people who have been to different churches and their joy, peace and hope had been stolen and they had lost their trust and even some of their integrity. When the time came, God again placed in Pastor Brooks' heart to "go" and establish a congregation of disciples committed to carrying out Jesus Christ's Great Commission to spread the Word of God, according to Matthew 28:19-20.

After sharing the call and the vision with her family and fellow workers in Christ, Truth, Righteousness and Love Ministries ("TRL") came into fruition. Realizing a great work for the Lord awaited them, several bold soldiers in the Lord's army came together in prayer and unity to establish this great ministry of God. Without further delay, a temporary worship location was sought out as a shelter of restoration and reformation for the people of God. The first worship service was held on Sunday, November 12, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Best Western Potomac View Hotel in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The Lord used Pastor Brooks to preach a powerful word of healing, hope, comfort, and restoration as she preached from the depths of her soul. The title of the sermon was "Jesus is our Redeemer", with the subtitle, "Preparing for a New Beginning". The text was taken from Isaiah 43:14-21. The Lord blessed this historical day tremendously. Over seventy people were in attendance at the first worship service, the Word of God went forth powerfully, 35 souls united with the ministry, and the angels of the Lord rejoiced greatly as others came forth for salvation and prayer.

After several faithful months at Best Western Potomac View Hotel the Lord was faithful to His Word and His promise and blessed Truth, Righteousness and Love Ministries with a new worship location at 6415 Old Alexandria Ferry Road, Clinton, Maryland on Sunday, April 8, 2001. Because of the great and mighty work of the Lord in the souls of His people, we again trusted the Lord God to provide us with a new location to accommodate the needs of His people and God again showed up mightily and truly blessed us with a new permanent location at 7007 Allentown Road, Temple Hills, Maryland on January 1, 2014. To God be all the glory, all the honor and all the praise for the wonderful things He has done and will continue to do! Bless His Holy Name!!!!
