About Our Pastor

Pastor LaReese M. Brooks, D.D. has been the under-shepherd of TRL Ministries for over a decade. She retired after 35 years of federal government service. She is a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a grandmother. 

 

Pastor Brooks and her husband, Overseer Ulysses E. Brooks, Sr., have been married for 41 years. Her commitment to ministry began in 1992 as she opened her home and her heart to monthly fellowships for spiritual growth for women of all walks of life. 

 

Pastor Brooks received her Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Faith Bible College and Seminary in Washington, D.C., and her Doctorate in Divinity from New Hope and Life School of Religion, Inc. in Capitol Heights, Maryland. 

 

Pastor Brooks is best known for boldly speaking and living the unadulterated Word of God without compromise. Through the powerful anointing, God has placed on her life, many souls have been saved and delivered, marriages have been restored, families have been reunited, and lives have been transformed. One of her primary passions is to equip and train the saints for the work of the ministry. In pursuing this passion, in February 2005, Pastor Brooks established the Joshua Christian Training Program to equip leaders and those called to ministry to effectively serve in the local church and the community as they go forward as bold soldiers in the Lord’s army. 

 

One of Pastor Brooks' favorite scriptures is Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
